JV Green Baseball Sweeps Mt. Vernon

The Pendleton Heights JV Green baseball team went on the road to conference rival Mt. Vernon and swept the Marauders in the JV baseball doubleheader. The Arabians won game 1 of the doubleheader 4-2 after taking a 2 run lead in the top of the 12th inning. The offense was led by Hudson Frank who went 2-4 at the plate with 2 walks and 2 runs scored. Jack Keesling, Cam Saxon, and Brody Stevenson each had 2 hits as well. Jackson Maifeld got the start on the mound pitching the first 4 innings of the game allowing 2 unearned runs while striking out 6 batters. Liam Davis got the win pitching the next 7.1 innings allowing 0 runs. Carson Cauley got the save throwing .2 innings and striking out both batters he faced. The Arabians then won game 2 of the doubleheader 5-4 after Cam Saxon got a walkoff base hit in the bottom of the 5th inning. Cam Saxon also led the way offensively going 2-2 with a walk, 2 RBI's, and a run scored. Brody Stevenson got the start on the mound throwing 4 innings and allowing 3 runs but only 1 earned run. Ryland Montgomery got the win on the mound after throwing a scoreless 5th inning.
