PHHS Track Competes at the Blue & White Relays The Pendleton Heights Girls and Boys’ Track teams competed in a field of 22 schools at the Blue & White Relays on Saturday. The weather was perfect on the Larry Maddox Track inside the Kardatzke Wellness Center on the campus of Anderson University. The Arabians left the meet with two champions: DMR Champs! The meet was highlighted by the Distance Medley Relay team of Benson Davis (1200), Kaden Kendell (400), Ryder Engelhardt (800), and Zack White (1600), led at every exchange and covered the 4000M in 11:18.91, claiming first by more than 10 seconds. Jarrell wins the 3200M Run, Zoeller second Ava Jarrell won in 10:44, with fellow Arabian Anya Zoeller claiming second in 10:53. Others placing in the top 5 in the meet were: Girls 4 x 400M Relay | Ava Jarrell, Anya Zoeller, Maddy Pfister, and Josephine Bell finished 2nd in 4:22. Girls DMR | Anya Zoeller, Ava Reed, Josephine Bell, and Ava Jarrell finished 2nd in 13:10. Boys Shot Put | Gabe Martin finished 3rd with a put of 48’ 9.25” Boys 3200M Run | Benson Davis and Zack White finished 3rd and 4th, both running 9:58. It was a new PR for Zack, joining the under 10:00 club! Girls Long Jump | Maddy Pfister finished 5th with a leap of 15' 3". Boys 4 x 400M Relay | Ryder Engelhardt, Hector Avitia, Nolan Hobbs, and Joel Weaver placed 5th in the 1600M Relay. Other results from the day: Girls 60M Dash | Maddy Pfister 8th in 8.28 and Elise Stearman 35th in 9.38 Boys 60M Dash | Keaton Jones and CJ Mitchem competed in the 60M dash, with Jones finishing 11th in 7.4 seconds and Mitchem 21st in 7.58 seconds. Girls 4 x 200M Relay | Maddy Pfister, Addie Stanley, Mallory Schug, Elise Stearman placed 10th in a time 1:57.32. Boys 4 x 200M Relay | Jones and Mitchem were joined by Joel Weaver and Talon Foster to place 8th out of 22 teams in the 800M relay, finishing in 1:38.2. Girls 4 x 800M Relay | Sadie Rauh, Leni Rauh, Josephine Bell, and Paulina Skalon finished 9th in 11:54. Boys 4 x 800M Relay | Luke Sellers, Connor Weflen, Conner Hessler, and Henry Corbin placed 6th in the 3200M Relay in 9:39. Girls High Jump | Mallory Schug cleared 4' 8" to place 8th. Girls Long Jump | Claire Sorrells jumped 11' 7.5" to finish 26th. Sorrells, Claire Long Jump 26 30 11' 7.5" Boys Long Jump | Nolan Hobbs set a new personal best with a leap of 17’ 8” in the long jump, finishing 11th. Girls Shot Put | Shaelynn Dwyer placed 18th with a put of 27' 1.5". Boys Shot Put | Mason Cravens finished 37th with a put of 29’ 0”.
