The Lady Arabians are Sectional Champions!

The Lady Arabians sealed the Sectional 9 Championship title against the Mt Vernon Marauders. The Lady Arabians had their foot on the gas and refused to let up. Pendleton Heights came out strong and with one goal in mind, they refused to stop until the final buzzer sounded leaving the Lady Arabians Sectional Champions with a score of 59-21. The Lady Arabians were led in scoring by senior Kaycie Warfel with 26 points. Junior Olivia Jones fired in 11 points. Sophomore Adah Hupfer had 10 points. Senior Emma Roberts had two big threes to add 6 points. Aubriana Gray (senior), Mamie Trout (junior), Aubree Warfel (sophomore) rounded out the scoring with 2 a piece. Along with the Lady Arabians staggering offensive performance, the ladies really proved what they are capable of on the defensive end of the court. As a team they were capable of holding the Marauders to 5 points to end the first half. The Lady Arabians totaled up 18 steals with Olivia Jones having 2 blocks and Adah Hupfer adding another block to the stats. The Lady Arabians will move onto Regionals in the 50th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament. They will take on the Lawrence North Wildcats on Saturday, February 15, 2025 with tip off at 1:00. The Regional round will take place at Decatur Central in Indianapolis, IN. Other teams that will be competing for a chance at the Regional Championship title at Decatur Central are the Pike Red Devils and the Franklin Central Flashes who will follow the Lady Arabians game on Saturday.
