The Arabians traveled to Delta tonight for an HHC matchup against the Eagles. The home team scored first and the visitors matched them shot for shot, but PH was plagued with empty possessions for the final four minutes of the quarter, leaving the score 11-6 in favor of Delta after the first quarter. The drought continued well into the second quarter, while the Eagles continued their run and extended the lead to 20-6. Hayden Fox found Ashann Singh on the pick-and-roll to get the Arabians going again. Evan Mozingo then added a pair of free throws to cut the lead to 10. A Sam Baker two was answered with a Delta 3-pointer, and the game would move to halftime with PH trailing 23-12. Singh got the offense started in the second half with four straight points, but more empty possessions would follow as the Eagles began to grow their lead again. With the game holding at 31-18 near the end of the third, Mozingo got home with a layup and Estes added another bucket, but the Eagles his shots in return, including a big 3-pointer to end the quarter up 36-22. With their backs against the wall, the Arabians turned up the defensive pressure and offensive intensity in the fourth quarter, and a couple of threes by Brandt Gray defined a 10-2 run that made it a 6-point game with two and a half minutes to play. Delta hit another three, and so did Mozingo, and then Coach Buck dialed up a deep three pointer by Gray to bring the Arabians within 3, 38-41. After two missed Delta free throws, Gray knocked down a pair from the line to make the score 40-41 with under a minute to play. The Eagles would miss a couple more free throws down the stretch, but PH could not find the next big shot it needed and would run out of time, falling just shy of the epic comeback win. Singh led the Arabians on both ends of the floor, scoring 14 points and grabbing 5 rebounds, also giving out 2 assists and getting 2 steals. Gray was the leading shooter, scoring all 11 of his points in the fourth quarter. Mozingo scored 7 and led the team with 6 boards as well. Fox orchestrated the offense with 6 assists and no turnovers, also grabbing 3 big rebounds. Joe Estes chipped in 6 points and worked tirelessly on the defensive end, coming up with 2 steals. It is a quick turnaround for PH, as they return home tomorrow (Saturday 1/25) to take on Tri-West
