On Tuesday night, the Arabians fell to the visiting Westfield Shamrocks, 55-37. The visitors came out hot, forcing a timeout with a 13-3 run. Sam Baker chipped in a bucket off the bench, but Westfield answered with a 4-point play, and the first quarter ended at a score of 19-7, Westfield. Brandt Gray opened the scoring in the second quarter with a three-pointer, but the Rocks answered right back with a couple of their own. Gray hit another triple, but the Arabians could not stop Westfield's offense as they forced another timeout at 28-13. Pendleton Heights refused to quit, as Gray continued his scoring barrage, joined by two threes from Ashann Singh, and suddenly the Arabians had cut the lead to 7 with under a minute to play in the first half. However, Westfield held the ball and hit a corner 3 to take a 33-23 lead into the locker room at the half. The Arabians hung around in the third quarter, with both teams turning up the intensity on defense. Across the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth, Westfield went on a 9-0 run which provided them the cushion they needed to seal the victory. Gray led the Arabians in scoring with 14, including 4 three-pointers. Gray was also the team's leading rebounder with 5. Cooper Sims added 9 points, and Ashann Singh scored 6. The Arabians are 0-3 and travel to Lapel on Friday night in search of their first victory.
