Girls Golf: Bella Shetterley Regional Recap
By Michael Smith | Sep 30, 2024 10:00 AM
Mother Nature gave us a scare, but had mercy on us and kept the rain away for the Girls Golf Regional tournament at The Edge GC. Conditions were very wet in many areas and sticks were everywhere thanks to Hurricane Helene. We did have a delay of 1 hour, with Freshman, Bella Shetterley teeing off hole 1 at 10am. Bella played very well in her first Regional appearance, scoring 42 on the front nine with 4 pars and 44 on the back nine with 3 pars. Her score of 86 placed her 14th out of 90 players. Bella had several chances to make birdie, but the putts just weren't falling. I expect Bella will return next year and play even better. You did a great job and had a great mindset and attitude while playing in the troublesome conditions. Bella had many spectators following her, including seniors, Zoe Lawrence and Addison Summerall. Thanks girls for coming out to support your teammate! This was a great ending to Bella's Freshman year. We are all proud of Bella. Keep practicing and we will see you next year, better than ever!
