Girls Golf: HHC Recap

The Lady Arabians traveled to the beautiful Albany Golf Club to play in the HHC tournament. The owners Ryan and Kelly Vannatter, are the most wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond, even closing the course completely, to make it the best day for all the girls playing. We had another glorious day for golf. Eight teams participated and New Palestine was the overall winner with a score of 338. The Arabians did not come away with the win, but I was very pleased with our 385, 3rd place finish. Low score for the Arabians was shared by Senior, Addison Summerall and Freshman, Bella Shetterley, with a score of 93. Addison, struggled on the front nine (51), but turned it around on the back nine with 4 pars and 1 birdie,(42). Bella had 1 par on the front, (49) and bettered her score on the back with 4 pars, (44). Senior, Zoe Lawrence's 99 had the best score on the front 9(48) with 1 par and 2 pars on the back 9(51). Junior, Morgan Bricker set herself a goal and did exactly what she set out to do. Morgan had 52 on the front 9 with 3 pars and 48 on the back 9 with 1 birdie meeting her goal of shooting 100 or better. Senior, Leila Reef, our final player, struggled on the front 9 scoring a 55. She did have a couple of highlights for her round of 104. I got to hear, the cheers for her chip in on hole 17 and she followed that up with a birdie on hole 18 making her score on the back a solid 49. As a team we seemed to really like hole 18 as we owned it with 3 pars and 2 birdies. Very proud of you ladies for bouncing back after a bad hole or shot and doing their best. Our next match is at Fall Creek where we will take on the Dragons of New Pal, our last home match, at 4pm. If you haven't seen the girls play, now is the time to come as all 12 girls will be facing an opponent from New Pal. LIVE GOLF - LOVE GOLF Coach Slick
