The Arabians were unable to complete the sweep of New Palestine, falling to the Dragons by a final of 4-1. Held to only two hits, the Arabian offense could only muster five baserunners on the evening. The lack of offense and errors in the field spoiled another quality start from Jacob Garner who pitched into the fifth. Offensively, the lone Arabian run was scored by Caden Sims, who had entered the game as a courtesy runner for catcher, Brayden Stevenson. Sims stole second and then scored on a basehit by Bo Surface. Jordan Williamson had the only other Arabian hit, to finish the day 1-3. On the mound, Jacob Garner continued a great year by lowering his ERA to 1.77 on the year. He allowed no earned runs on six hits, one walk, and struck out two. Jameson Walford came on in relief and surrendered one hit over 1.1 innings pitched and recorded a strikeout as well. The loss drops the Arabians record on the season to 14-7. They will look to rebound Friday night as they travel to Alexandria for a 5:30pm start. This matchup will serve as the county championship.
