Arabians Win It In Extras To Sweep Bronchos

It took extra innings, but the Arabians got two big hits in the ninth to take the one-run lead. That big run, coupled with strong pitching, lifted Pendleton Heights to a ninth-inning victory. Three Arabians enjoyed multi-hit days. Mazon Saxon went 2-4 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI. Rylan Keesling went 2-3 with a walk, two runs, and an RBI. Jordan Williamson went 2-3 with a walk and three RBIs. In the ninth, Colton Frank lined a one-out basehit and scored on Bo Surface double to the wall. It proved to be the winning run, as the Bronchos went down 1-2-3 in the bottom half of the inning. Jameson Walford got the start and gave the Arabians a solid 3.2 innings on the mound. He allowed one earned run on five hits while striking out two. Colin Axel-Adams came up huge in relief to earn the win. He finished the final 5.1 innings. He gave up two earned runs on one hit and struck out four. With the win, the Arabians completed the sweep of the Bronchos. The Arabians improve to 11-5 on the season. They will be back in action Monday as they play host to the Shamrocks of Westfield. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
