Arabians Battle But Fall To Golden Bears The Arabians struck first but struggled to add on as they fell to the Golden Bears 5-3. Shelbyville took the lead in the fourth inning on a grand slam. The Arabians continued to fight, putting men on base in multiple innings, but struggled to get the big hit. leaving men on second and third base in both the sixth and seventh innings. Jordan Williamson continued his hot hitting as he went 2-4 on the night. In his first plate appearance of the year, Clint Miller came up big with a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth to bring the Arabians back within one. Jacob Garner pitched a strong three innings before Shelbyville got to him in the fourth inning. He exited the game with a final stat line of 3.2 innings pitched, four earned runs on six hits, one wak and two strikeouts. Jameson Walford followed Garner and turned in a solid relief performance. He went the final 2.1 innings, allowing one run on three hits, one walk, and three strikeouts. The Arabians will look to rebound and split the conference series tomorrow when Shelbyville comes to visit Bill Stoudt Field for a 6:00pm start.
