The Pendleton Heights Girls Track Team reclaimed the County Championship Friday night at Madison-Grant High School, defeating second place Lapel by 33 points. The weather was a challenge, as the wind guests reached 40mph along with rain and temperatures in the 30s. The girls persevered, winning three individual events and one relay: the 800M, 1600M, and 3200M were all won by Arabian Junior Ava Jarrell, and the 4 x 800M team of Ashlyn Walker, Hadley Walker, Jillian Green, and Jaycee Thurman finished first in their relay. Ava Jarrell set a new County record in the 3200M, scored 32 points, and was named the meet’s Most Outstanding Athlete. Congratulations, Ava!
