Pendleton Heights left no doubt in Tuesday's IHSAA Regional championship game, claiming a 10-0 win over the host Lawrence North Wildcats. It was the second time this season Pendleton Heights defeated Lawrence North. The win gave the Arabians their 11th regional trophy in program history. The Arabians received another great performance from Morgan Bricker in the circle. Bricker fired 5.0 innings of nine strikeout shutout softball while only allowing two hits. Bricker has yet to allow a run in three postseason starts. All coming in complete game fashion. At the plate, Pendleton Heights was led with three RBI performances from Aubrey Fox (3-4, 3 RBI, R) and Macy Hufford. All of Hufford's RBI came on one swing of the bat when she lifted a ball against the wind for a 3-run shot to left center. Pendleton Heights will now advance to the IHSAA Semi-State at Bedford North Lawrence High School this Saturday. The Arabians will square off against the Patriots of Terre Haute North in the first semi-final game at 11:00 am. The second semi-final will feature Center Grove and Castle. The two winners will play for the championship at 7:00 pm with the champion advancing to the IHSAA State Finals. Pendleton Heights is no stranger to semi-state play at Bedford North Lawrence. This will be the Arabians 3rd trip to BNL with a state championship game appearance as the prize.
