Madison County Boys Track & Field Recap

Pendleton Heights boys track & Field turned in a strong performance at the Madison County Championships, highlighted by multiple individual podium finishes and two relay titles. Leading the way on the track, Joel Weaver placed third in the 100-meter dash, second in the 400-meter dash, and added a fifth-place finish in the long jump, while CJ Mitchem also contributed with a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash. In the 200-meter dash, Ashaan Singh secured a third-place finish to add to the Arabians’ sprint success. The distance crew continued to excel, as Ryder Engelhardt captured the county title in the 800-meter run, followed by Connor Weflen placing third in the same event and second in the 1600-meter run. Benson Davis added strong performances with third-place finishes in both the 1600 and 3200-meter runs, while Zack White earned a runner-up finish in the 3200-meter run. In the hurdles and field events, David Akinyeye stood out with a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, third in the 300-meter hurdles, and fourth in the high jump. Jackson Fisher added a fifth-place finish in the pole vault to round out the field event scoring. Pendleton Heights also found great success in relay competition, capturing county championships in both the 4x400 and 4x800 relays, while the 4x100 relay team added a strong second-place finish. Overall, the Arabians showcased depth and versatility across all event groups in a well-rounded team performance.
