On Tuesday, April 21st, Pendleton Heights scratched out a 5-4, one run win over the Delta Eagles. The win improved the Arabians to 6-6 on the season and 2-0 in HHC play. The win was also significant in other ways as well. Coach Rob Davis continued to add to his all-time winningest coach resume by earning his 300th win. The milestone win came almost two days to the day since he became the program's winningest coach by winning his 275th game against Brownsburg in 2024. Coach Davis, in his 16th season as head coach of the Lady Arabians, has averaged 19.6 wins per season, which has elevated an already successful softball program even higher. During his leadership, Pendleton Heights has won 7 sectional championships, 4 regional championships, and made an appearance in the IHSAA Final Four. Even with all of the wins, Athletic Director at Pendleton Heights, Chad Smith, believes the bigger impact from Coach Davis has come in the form of relationships. "Coach Davis is an excellent softball coach. He's had tremendous success on the field but what I think of when I think of Rob Davis is how his players and former players interact with him. Their is a genuine respect and love for one an another. That is way bigger than winning a softball game." Pendleton Heights will return to the field that Coach Davis set the all-time mark in 2024 with a road game at Carmel on April 22 and the Carmel Invite on April 24-25.
