Casey Jamerson Chosen to Lead Next Chapter of PHHS Cheer At their last meeting the South Madison Community School Board of Trustees approved former PHHS student-athletes, Casey Jamerson, as the next cheer program head coach. Jamerson is a 2008 PHHS graduate of Pendleton Heights. Jamerson is widely respected as one of the best cheer coaches and choreographers in the country. She has contributed to many National Championships of cheer teams as a choreographer along with running her own championship program. Before recently returning home, Jamerson had spent seven years as the head coach of Independence High School (TN). While at Independence, Jamerson led her teams to 5 UCA National Championships, 7 Regional Championships, and a Tennessee State Title. While an Arabian student-athlete, Jamerson excelled in cheer and softball. In cheer, Jamerson anchored teams that collected multiple conference, state, and national titles. In softball, she was selected all-conference, was part of sectional, regional, and state runner up teams, and left as the stolen base record holder. Jamerson went on to play softball at Indiana University. “What an honor it is to come home and lead the PH Cheerleading program and continue the dynasty that truly shaped me. Pendleton Heights Athletics taught me so many life lessons and gave me countless memories. I am thankful for the opportunity to give those same experiences to our current student athletes.” Jamerson stated. Statement from Chad Smith, Athletic Director at Pendleton Heights: “We try to find the best coaches for our student-athletes and Casey is one of the best cheer coaches in the country. Our cheerleaders will experience a new level of expectations which will elevate the entire cheer program. Casey is also a woman of great drive and motivation which will serve to mentor our cheerleaders. We are glad Casey is back in the green and white.” Jamerson will meet with student-athletes and parents interested in cheer on Monday.
