Senior Night for PHHS Girls Golf. The weather was better than expected as we were missed by the rain. The Arabians brought their A game tonight. PHHS had a personal best for the team with a 174 and Greenfield had a 217. We played 7 and counted top 4 tonight. Medalist for the match and the Arabians was Senior, Kelsey Day with a 41. Kelsey also had back to back birdies on holes 4 and 5. Senior, Skylar Baldwin came in with a 42. Skylar also had a birdie on hole #2. A short par 3, which most girls consider the hardest hole on the course, due to the 2 large trees that block the way to the green. Senior, Audrey Jenkins tuned in a 44 and also had a birdie on hole #9, which is the hole that she had a hole in 1 on during her freshman year. Senior, Addie Nichols had a nice round of 47. Junior, Zoe Lawrence had a solid 49 with a par on that difficult #2, while fellow Junior, Addison Summerall had a 48. Sophomore, Morgan Bricker also had a 47 and parred the difficult #2. Junior Leila Reef, had a 54. Sophomore, Claire Bowman and Junior, Kaylee Smith both had 57. Sophomore, Olivia Haugh also parred that difficult #2 and had a par on #5 shooting a 51. Freshman, Kiersten Dujmovich finished off the team with a 64. Not her best, but it is her first year playing golf. After the match, we headed to the high school to celebrate our Seniors, Audrey Jenkins, Skylar Baldwin, Kelsey Day and Addie Nichols. We had pizza, chips, fruit and veggies and our special treat of Chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. The Seniors gave their heartfelt speeches, had picture boards and a few tears by one we will not mention, Addie. Coach Slick talked about the girls and thanked them for their 4 years of play and the laughter they brought to the team. Big shoes for those who follow on the amount of laughter and fun these girls had and I hope it continues, it makes it so much more fun. Thanks for a wonderful Senior Night and great scores tonight ladies. Our next match is Thursday. A 3 way match with Lawrence Central and Warren Central at Fall Creek 4:30 start time.
