After a hard-fought battle against the #2–ranked 4A Lawrence Central Bears, the Lady Arabians came up short, falling 47–57. Despite a challenging first half, the Arabians’ bench delivered a major spark and showcased the team’s depth and resilience. Ellie Warfel made an immediate impact with disruptive deflections and a key steal against LSU commit Lola Lampley, while Grace Lee injected crucial energy and defensive pressure. Sophia Bruce stepped confidently into the point guard role, giving Sami Brunk a brief rest, and proving she could handle the 1-2-2 full-court press with her speed and composure. Offensively, Brunk led the way with 15 points, followed by Adah Hupfer’s strong double-double performance of 10 points, 10 rebounds, and two emphatic blocks. Olivia Jones added four points, but her standout contribution came on the defensive end, where she held Lampley well below her scoring average. Senior Mamie Trout continued her physical interior presence, taking two charges, grabbing three steals, and adding five points. After time to regroup and reflect, the Lady Arabians now shift their focus to a key conference matchup against Greenfield-Central at home on Friday, November 21 at 7:30 PM. They will then head to Brownsburg for the Sneakers for Santa Tournament, opening play against Brownsburg at 2 PM. The JV squad will also compete, tipping off at 12 PM.
