Game of the Week: Football Sectional Championship vs Yorktown

The IHSAA 4A Football State Tournament kicks off all over the entire state on Friday, October 24th. IHSAA sectional play runs for three weeks, followed by one game each for the regional and semi-state. The 4A State Finals will be played on Saturday, November 29th, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Pendleton Heights will be competing in Sectional #21 with seven schools that include Beech Grove, Greenfield-Central, Mt. Vernon, New Castle, Richmond, and Yorktown in addition to the Arabians. Sectional 21 Schedule: Game 1: Beech Grove at Richmond (Beech Grove 55-13) Game 2: Pendleton Heights at Mt. Vernon (Pendleton Hts 45-14) Game 3: New Castle at Greenfield-Central (Greenfield-Cent. 26-20 (2OT)) Game 4: Yorktown at Beech Grove (Yorktown 35-0) Game 5: Greenfield-Central at Pendleton Heights (45-0) Game 6: Yorktown at Pendleton Heights, 7:00 pm Restrictions (per IHSAA): 1. Banners and posters are not allowed. 2. Battery powered/electronic noise makers, fireworks, recorded, sirens or whistles are not allowed. 3. Throwing of articles, including toilet tissue and baby powder, is not allowed. 4. No live animal mascots are permitted at any time. Additional Restrictions: Outside food or drinks Coolers Large bags for adults Book bags for students Athletic balls Abuse of officials Determining Home Team First Round: The second-named team in the blind draw is host school unless the two teams agree to switch the site. Semifinals: The team without a home game will host. Exception: The bye team will always be the visitor. If both teams were hosts or both were visitors, the second-named team in the quarter bracket will host. I Championships: Host team will be the team that has played the most away games. If both teams have played the same number of away games, the bottom bracket team shall host. Determining IHSAA Regional Home Team: Sectional final game non-host, if applicable, or odd sectional number. Self validation will not be accepted******** Parking Parking is available in the North Lot (student lot), the Tennis Lot (north of football stadium), and in the South Lot (WEEM radio tower). For the safety of our student-athletes and pedestrians attending the game, traffic directly in front of the stadium will be blocked 2 hours before the game. Please only park in designated parking spots. We would like to keep our campus looking nice with the grass we have on campus. Entry Everyone will enter either Gate #1, Gate #2, or Gate #6. They will be marked with signs to designate the entry areas. Tickets can be purchased at any gate with either cash or credit. Digital tickets may be scanned at any gate. VISITING SPECATORS AND PHHS STUDENTS SHOULD ENTER GATE #2. Concessions The concession stands will be open for business. The main concession stand is located in the NW corner of the stadium as well as next to the visiting bleachers. Both sites accept cash or credit card. Restrooms Restrooms are located by the concession stand in the NW corner of the stadium as well as behind the visitor bleachers. Seating: All spectators will need to use the bleachers for seating. There will be no spectators permitted on the track or the field at any time. Only authorized individuals will have access to the track. The area north of the end zone is not accessible for students to congregate. Visiting fans should follow he paved path around the south side of the stadium to the visiting bleachers on the east side of the field. The path is marked with signs. Additional Information: 1. Yorktown spectators should enter Gate #2 2. Pendleton Heights spectators should enter Gates #1 and #6 3. Please be familiar with the restrictions listed above
