Mills and Kerr to be inducted into North Hall of Fame

North High School Athletic Department will induct two members on Tuesday December 17th at halftime North vs Reitz boys basketball game. David Mill - Class of 2010 Golf became an integral part of David Mill's life at an early age. Beginning in elementary school he began entering, and winning, junior golf tournaments. David won 57 tournaments, and was a runner-up in 43 contests, all in a nine year span. Other accomplishments included: AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) HP Scholastic Junior Golf All-American honors; FCWT Academic All-American (Honorable Mention) honors; and was selected as an Ashworth All-American (Second Team) member. During high school David again dominated the sport, winning the 2010 IHSAA Fred A. Keesling Mental Attitude Award at the State Finals. He was the 2009 state runner-up. Other titles include: three- time City Champion; two-time Conference Champion; 2009 Sectional and Regional medalist; four-time state finalist; four-time Academic All-State honoree; and four time All-City and Conference team selectee. David graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Indiana University awarded David with a golf scholarship to play for the Hoosiers. He was named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Team. and was twice chosen to the All-Big Ten Academic Team. David was the Hoosiers top golfer during his senior year. Additional accolades were: the Scholar Athlete Award, as sponsored by Golf Coaches Association of America; All- Big Ten Championship Team; and was chosen to the All-Midwest Regional team. David graduated from Indiana University's prestigious Kelly School of Business in 2014 and is currently a financial analyst in Evansville. Caleb Kerr - Class of 2012 Caleb Kerr established himself as one of the finest track athletes ever in the school's history. He earned four varsity awards in both cross country and in track. As a cross country runner Caleb was a two-time City, SIAC, Sectional, and Regional Champion in both 2010 and 2011. He set numerous course records, and was the 2011 Semi-State Champion. He led the Husky team to the State Finals that year (the first ever appearance in the forty-seven year history of the school. His personal 5k time in high school was 15:20, which is the second best in Husky history. In track, Caleb competed in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and the 4x800m relay. He won the 2011 1600m, 3200m, and led his 4x800m relay to City titles. Caleb won the 2011 City, SIAC, and Sectional titles in the 3200m run. In 2012, Caleb annexed the 800m championship, the Sectional Championship (4x800m) and the Huskies set a new record. He also placed fifth at the State Finals in the 3200m run, which earned him All-State honors. At the conclusion of his high school career, he was invited to represent Indiana in the prestigious Midwest Meet of Champions, where he competed against the elite runners from Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. His best high school times were: 9:06 (3200m) and 4:19 (1600m). Then he went on to attend Purdue University. At Purdue, Caleb again earned four varsity letters in cross country and track. The Boilermakers recorded their best finish in 27 years at the Big Ten Championships in both 2013 and 2015. His best times in college were in the top ten in school history (3000m and 5000m). The best was yet to come. Caleb's post collegiate running career has flourished and has led to his being named USATF's Indiana Male Long Distance "Runner of the Year" four times (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022). He was a USATF Olympic Marathon Trials finalist in both 2020 and 2024. Caleb finished ninth in the 2022 USATF Half Marathon Championships, and is a two-time USATF Indiana Half Marathon 5k road champion and course record setter. His best times were 1:04.36 (half marathon), 2:14.50 (marathon). Caleb Kerr, a true Husky Hall of Famer.
