Boys Track and Field Wins Three Sectional Titles, Advances Strong Group to Regionals

The Boys track and field team delivered a great performance on its home track at the IHSAA Sectional 2 meet, highlighted by three sectional titles and a large group of athletes advancing with top-three finishes. The Bulldogs placed second overall with 142 points. The Team claimed three sectional championships, led by standout performances in distance running, relays, and field events: 800 Meter Run – Jake Metzger won the sectional title in 1:58.37, leading from the front in a competitive race. 4x800 Meter Relay – The Team of Caleb Kotynski, Jakub Nurek, Jackson Zona, and Jake Metzger captured the championship in 8:19.36 Pole Vault – Isaac Roman cleared 15-6 to win the sectional title and hit the state standard. In addition to its champions, Crown Point qualified a strong group of athletes for the next round with top-three finishes across the meet.
