Crown Point High School Athletics

Crown Point High School hosted the IHSAA Gymnastics Sectional on their home turf on Saturday. CP had their second highest score of the season in a tight race again, places 2nd-6th. CP scored a 104.45 for 6th. Although CP does not make it as a team to the regional meet next Saturday at Portage, CP qualified almost all of their gymnasts individually. Freshman Kenzi Kleven led the way, qualifying out in the individual all-around. Junior Katie Tsiakopoulos qualified on floor and vault. Junior Grace Charon will go to Regionals on floor, while Junior Simona Stojceski qualified on beam. Freshman Sophia Urena qualified on bars and beam. It was an exciting ending to the competition.
