Cathedral (5-3) vs Akron Archbishop Hoban (3-5): Game Preview Friday, October 16, 7:00 p.m. University of Indianapolis Radio Broadcast: 6:30 p.m. Online at https://foxsports1260.iheart.com/ iHeart Radio App https://ww.iheart.com/live/fox-sports-1260-am-905/ Indianapolis Cathedral hosts Akron Archbishop Hoban tonight at Key Stadium on the University of Indianapolis campus in the regular season finale for both schools. The Fighting Irish are ranked first in Indiana’s Class 5A, while the Knights are rated seventh in Ohio’s Division II. It’s the first ever meeting between the two Holy Cross schools. Since 2010, Hoban has won five Ohio high school state championships, while the Irish have won seven Indiana football titles in the same period. Cathedral defeated Covington Catholic, 28-20, at Butler University last Friday to improve its record to 5-3. Senior running back Xavier Dangerfield rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns in the homecoming victory. Archbishop Hoban is 3-5 after losing its last outing against Cleveland Glenville High School 26-0. The Knights committed five turnovers in the loss, which ended their three-game winning streak. Glenville is ranked 100th in the nation this week by High School Football America. Hoban also lost earlier in the season to Lakewood St. Edward (Ohio), West Orange (Florida) and Eagle Academy II (New York) – all of which are also ranked nationally in HSFA’s Top 300.
