The two teams met for the first time last season with the Fighting Irish defeating the Rams, 32-28, following a wild fourth quarter in which the teams combined to score 36 points. Cathedral has won three-in-row this season including a 51-0 win at Southport last Friday night. The Irish defense held the Cardinals to just 48 yards of total offense while intercepting four passes, returning one for a touchdown, and scoring a safety. Trotwood-Madison has won four straight games after a season-opening loss to Toledo Central Catholic. The Rams’ defense has not allowed opponents to score in the last eight quarters, while the offense has scored a combined 106 points in the last two weeks.
