The Fighting Irish defeated Southport 2-0 to claim the 2023 Sectional Championship. In the opening round, Cathedral defeated Lawrence Central 5-1 and defeated Warren Central 9-0 in the sectional semifinal. Cathedral will host the regional semifinal at Pride Performance Center on Wednesday, October 11. The Irish will face East Central and the regional championship will be Saturday, October 14.
