The Varsity Football team overcame a slow start to defeat Washington 35 - 15 in the opening round of the IHSAA sectional, Friday night. Nolan McKinney led the Pioneers with another 100+ yard game and 2 rushing touchdowns. Grant Davis ran for a score, and hit Jordan Paul for a big touchdown late in the first half. Tyler Rinehart added 86 rushing yards and a score as well. The offensive line did a great job up front for the Pioneers. Defensively, Tyler Klaner anchored the Pioneers with a big night, which included 9 tackles, a pair of sacks, and a blocked kick. Rinehart came up with a big interception in the first half at the goal line. It was a great team effort and win! The Pioneers will advance to the second round of the sectional play, and host Bosse this Friday. Great job!
