Wednesday night the lady pioneer soccer team fell to Pike Central 2-1. The Chargers came out of the gates lightning fast, scoring 2 quick goals inside 8 minutes. BHS fought to get back into the competition, finally scoring off of a deep free kick from Maya Cobb. Cobb's effort beat the keeper and brought the pioneers within one. In the second half the team gave everything to break down the Charger defense, but we came up just short. Lilhey Stockdale had a penalty save to keep the pioneers in it in the second half. Hannah Myers had a miraculous goal line save, with an overhead kick, as well. Keep fighting, Ladies!
