Wood Memorial Invite: Boonville Boys Tennis competed in the Wood Memorial Invite on Saturday, August 24th. The team had multiple big wins with Brayden Young and Gavin Vollman winning their third place match (6-1, 6-1) over Wood Memorial. Three team members took home hardware. Wyatt Harpenau had a huge win in the semi-final match winning (6-2, 1-6, 10-5) over Mt. Vernon before falling in the final (6-1, 6-3) to South Knox to take the #1 singles runner-up spot. Mason Wall and Logan Strahle had a come from behind win in their semifinal (1-6, 6-2, 10-4) over Wood Memorial to take second, falling (6-1, 6-1) to South Knox in the #1 doubles final. The team has this week off from competition before next taking the court against South Knox at home on September 2nd @4:30pm.
