Boonville High School

Saturday the Boonville Boys golf team opened up their season in the Vincennes Golf Invitational at Cypress Hills Golf Club. The team shot their best 18 hole score in decades, finishing 4th behind only Memorial, Vincennes Lincoln, and 6th ranked team in the state Gibson Southern. Boonville edged out sectional opponent Mater Dei by 1 stroke. Scoring for the pioneers were Cash Willis with a 5th place overall 72, Matthew and Mason Mills both shot 78, and Tanner Garrett, in his first ever competitive match shot 90. Mason Keller had a nice first match as well. The boys will be back to take on Tell City in a rain make-up match at Quail Crossing on Tuesday April 9th. Final Scores: 1. Gibson Southern 303. 2.
