Boys Swimming finishes 7th at Sectionals

The Boonville Boys Swim Team finished 7th at the Sectional Swimming and Diving meet on Saturday. Senior Luke Pryor won the 100 butterfly and finished 2nd in the 200 freestyle. Luke set new school records in both events and will compete in the 100 butterfly at the state finals. Senior Graham " Stretch" Mullins finished 2nd in the 100 back and 3rd in the 100 free. Capping off a great day for the seniors, Senior Owen Phillips finished 7th in the 200 IM and 12th in the 100 breast. Rounding out the individual final swims, Dayton Hunt finished 13th in the 500 free and Tyler Chapman finished 14th in the same event. All 3 of Boonville's relays swam in the championship final. The 200 medley relay team of Mullins, Phillips, Pryor, and Hunt got 6th place. The 200 free relay team of Pryor, Mullins, Phillips and AJ Hayman finished 5th. Finally, the 400 free relay team of Hunt, Hayman, Tanner Garrett and Chapman finished 8th. Great job men! Luke Pryor will travel to Indianapolis to compete in the state finals on Friday night. He is seeded 11th in the 100 butterfly. Go Pioneers!
