The Boys Varsity Basketball team picked up a nice conference win on Saturday night, defeating Gibson Southern 51 - 49 in overtime. The Pioneers who were up by 4 at the half, found themselves down 5 with 2:30 to go in regulation, before making some big plays. In the final minutes, Grant Davis hit a big 3, followed by a Logan Strahle steal, and Cash Willis layup to tie the game up. Jaxon McKain scored all 7 points for the Pioneers in overtime, which included the game winner with 4.4 seconds remaining. McKain led the Pioneers with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Cash Willis had 10 points and 6 rebounds, Grant Davis 8 points, and Issac Miller 7. It was a great TEAM win! The Pioneers will host Mater Dei next weekend.
