The girls soccer team had their first home game of the season on Monday night, playing host to the Harrison Warriors. BHS started off with a lightning fast goal inside the first 5 minutes! Paisley Fuquay drove down the right wing, beating her defender twice to cross the ball, which fell to Ellie Tieman who finished beautifully! Harrison bounced back with an equalizer and then took the lead. The pioneers tied it up before half with a great pass from Haley Watson to Faith Kilgore who flew down the field and put the ball in the back of the net. In the second half, the pioneers battled some injuries and had a few let down moments to give Harrison the lead and the win. No time to rest though, as the pioneers have another home game on Tuesday evening against Mt. Vernon.
