Varsity vs Southridge Loss BHS Boys Tennis lost to Soughridge on Monday at home by a score of 0-5. The match result did not do justice to how close some of the matches were. At Number 1 singles, Brannon Hancock came up just short in a long, entertaining and extremely close match by a score of (7-6, 6-4). A few key points were the decider here. At Number 2 singles, Landon Aldridge fell by a score of (6-2, 6-2) with many games going to deuce. Jaren Hancock lost at the 3 singles spot (6-1, 6-1) to a very tough player. The Number 1 doubles team of Grant Scales and James Conner lost (6-0, 6-0) but again, many games went to deuce here as well. The Number 2 doubles team of Gavyn Bryson and Keegan Conner put up a great fight, almost pulling out the second set, but finally went down (6-3, 7-5). Boys Tennis next plays at the Wood Memorial Invite this Saturday.
