The Boys Cross Country Team got their season underway Saturday morning at Gibson Southern High School for the Gibson Southern Cross Country Hokum Karem. The boys ran strong in this opener and showed some of good fittness and composure in an unusual format for cross country races. Finishing for the Pioneers was the Team of Gavin Zint and Owen Kelley finishing 28th in a time of 20:59 an average of 5:15 for their mile splits. Also Finishing for the Pioneers was the team of Darren Westerfield and Kase Topper finishing 55th in a time of 23:01 and Joeseph Henry was also finished attached to this team in a time of 26:16. Good effort all around! The Pioneers will be back in action Saturday August 22nd at home for the Pioneer Invitational. Go Pioneers!
