Boonville Boys Golf competed at the Bedford North Lawrence Invitational on Saturday. The team finished tied for 7th in a field of 15 teams. The boys were far from their best as a team, but Cash Willis was able to recreate some magic and turn in a solid round of 73 to get himself into a sudden-death playoff for invite champ. Cash put a drive perfectly into the fairway on the playoff hole. After that, Cash and his opponent spun their approach shots off the front of the green. Cash got up and down for par to clench his 3rd tournament title in 4 invitationals. This is a massive accomplishment, never done by any Pioneer golfer in recent memory, maybe ever. For the rest of the team scores, Mason Mills shot 82, Wyatt Belcher 84, Emmitt Roy 94, and Gage Vincent 103. The pioneers have some time off before travelling to take on Bosse at Fendrich on Thursday.
