Benton Central Volleyball made history Saturday night, capturing the IHSAA Class 2A North Semi-State Championship — the program’s first-ever Semi-State title — with a commanding 3-0 sweep over South Adams. The Lady Bison (27-5) defeated the Starfires by set scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-17 to punch their ticket to the IHSAA Class 2A State Championship next Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis. It was a dominant performance from start to finish for Benton Central, who showed composure, teamwork, and determination throughout the match. The victory completes a remarkable postseason run that included an earlier five-set win over No. 1-ranked Southwood in the morning semifinal.
