The two powerhouse programs traded blows all morning, splitting the first four sets in a back-and-forth display of high-level volleyball. In the decisive fifth set, the Lady Bison came out firing — storming to a 7-0 lead behind relentless defense and powerful swings. But Southwood refused to back down, clawing their way back to within 10-9, forcing a Benton Central timeout. From there, the Lady Bison showed poise and determination, scoring five of the next eight points to capture the victory and secure the program’s first-ever Semi-State Finals appearance.
