Lady Bison Capture First Regional Championship in School History

For Immediate Release October 26, 2025 – Monticello, IN History was made this past Saturday as the Benton Central Lady Bison Volleyball team captured their first-ever IHSAA Regional Championship, defeating Sheridan High School in dominant fashion, 3–0, at the Twin Lakes Regional. The Lady Bison controlled the match from start to finish, earning set victories of 25–14, 25–17, and 25–8 to secure the historic win. The victory marks a significant milestone for the Benton Central Volleyball program and highlights an outstanding season of teamwork, focus, and determination. With the Regional title, Benton Central (25–5) advances to the IHSAA Class 2A Peru Semi-State on Saturday, November 1st, where they will face Southwood High School (30–3) in the 10:00 AM semifinal match at Peru Jr./Sr. High School (401 N Broadway, Peru, IN 46970).
