October 19, 2025 — Oxford, IN The Benton Central Lady Bison Volleyball team (24-5) claimed the 2025 IHSAA Class 2A Sectional Championship this weekend in impressive style, sweeping all three of their opponents without dropping a single set. Sectional Results Thursday, Oct. 16 – Quarterfinals 🏐 Benton Central def. Seeger – 25-15, 25-12, 25-20 Saturday, Oct. 18 – Semifinals 🏐 Benton Central def. Delphi – 25-8, 25-9, 25-3 Saturday, Oct. 18 – Sectional Championship 🏐 Benton Central def. Western Boone – 25-10, 25-14, 25-17 The championship match featured a rematch of last year’s sectional final, when Western Boone went on to capture the 2024 Class 2A State Championship. This year, the Bison turned the tables, defeating the Stars (11-16) in dominant fashion to reclaim the sectional crown. Next Up: Twin Lakes Regional The Lady Bison will advance to the Twin Lakes Regional and face Sheridan High School (19-10) at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 25.
