FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Jared Hall, Athletic Director Benton Central High School Lady Bison Compete in Hoosier Conference Girls Golf Championship Rensselaer, IN – September 16, 2025 – The Benton Central High School Girls Golf team competed in the 2025 Hoosier Conference Championship held Monday, September 15, at Curtis Creek Country Club in Rensselaer. The tournament, originally scheduled for September 13, was postponed due to rain. The championship featured nine conference schools. Tipton High School captured the team title with a score of 369, followed by Logansport (377) and Central Catholic (385). Benton Central finished 8th overall with a team score of 437. Benton Central junior Hannah Bice led the Lady Bison with a strong round of 94, earning All-Conference honors. Rounding out the scoring for Benton Central were: Makenna Kuntz – 111 Cora Atkinson – 112 Shayne Alaniz – 120 Ella Budreau – 128 West Lafayette’s Emily Boaz posted the day’s low round of 81 to take medalist honors. “We’re very proud of the effort our girls put forth at the conference championship,” said Athletic Director Jared Hall. “They represented Benton Central with determination and sportsmanship in a tough field on a challenging course.” For more information on Benton Central Athletics, please visit www.bentoncentralathletics.com
