Bison Struggle to Contain Falcons in 10-1 Loss

5/19/2025 - Oxford, IN The Frontier Falcons jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Aiden Burnside doubled, scoring two runs, and Dylan Brown singled, scoring one run. Frontier added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Burnside walked, Beau Dazey grounded into a fielder's choice, and Jason Newton singled to right field, each scoring one run. Isaac Mansfield earned the win for the Falcons. The hurler gave up eight hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Spencer Flook took the loss for Benton Central Bison. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two. Landon Arredondo led Benton Central Varsity Bison with one run batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-1 on the day. Carter Fox, Benton Central Varsity Bison's number nine hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Frontier amassed nine hits in the game. Burnside, the number eight hitter for the Falcons, led the way with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Brown went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Frontier in hits. Mansfield collected two hits for the Falcons in four at bats. Newton led Frontier with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Dazey stole two bases for Frontier. Next up for Benton Central is a game at Harrison HS on Tuesday, May 20th.
