Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison Defeats Lafayette Central Catholic On Back Of Clutch Display From Chloe Linder By Game Changer Media Chloe Linder drove in four runs on three hits to lead Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison past Lafayette Central Catholic 13-7 on Tuesday at Central Catholic Jr/Sr High School. Linder doubled in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the seventh inning, scoring two. Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-1 in the fourth. Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison got on the board in the first inning after Madison Minniear singled, scoring one run. McCaw singled down the right field line on a full count, which helped Lafayette Central Catholic tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. A single by Lee gave Lafayette Central Catholic the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third. Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a single by Hunter Biddle, and a double by Linder. Lafayette Central Catholic took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Walter singled, scoring one run, to give Lafayette Central Catholic the lead, 7-6. Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring seven runs on eight hits to take the lead, 13-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Mariyah Rich that drove in two. Reagan Dowell earned the win for Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison. The pitcher allowed 10 hits and seven runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. McCammon took the loss for Lafayette Central Catholic. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out five and walking five. Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison accumulated 15 hits in the game. Linder and Biddle were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison while hitting back-to-back. Minnear, Rich, and Braelyn Meredith each collected multiple hits for Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison. Izzy Adams paced Benton Central Varsity Lady Bison with two walks.
