Logansport, IN – February 8, 2025 The Benton Central Bison wrestling team delivered a powerful performance at the Logansport Regional, securing a 3rd place finish overall and crowning three Regional Champions in an unforgettable day on the mat. Joseph Mendoza (120#), Ronnie Jenkins (190#), and Owen Pearson (215#) dominated their brackets, claiming individual Regional Championships and earning #1 seeds for the East Chicago Central Semi-State on Saturday, February 15th. These three warriors showcased their strength, skill, and determination, proving they are among the best in the state. The Bison’s success at Regionals is a testament to their hard work and resilience throughout the season. As they head into the next stage of the postseason, Mendoza, Jenkins, and Pearson will be looking to continue their dominance and punch their tickets to the IHSAA State Finals. The East Chicago Central Semi-State will be held on Saturday, February 15th, where the top four wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the IHSAA State Finals in Indianapolis.
