FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 16, 2025 Doug Jennett Inducted into the 2025 IHSBCA Hall of Fame Benton Central High School is proud to announce that legendary coach Doug Jennett has been named a 2025 Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) Hall of Fame Inductee. Coach Jennett led the Benton Central baseball program from 1971 to 1985, achieving an extraordinary career record of 304 wins and 123 losses. His tenure was marked by numerous accolades, including: 9 Sectional Titles 3 Regional Championships 5 Professional Baseball Signees 86 Collegiate Baseball Players In addition to his remarkable achievements, Coach Jennett served as the 1985 North All-Star Coach, further solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest coaches in Indiana high school baseball history. Doug Jennett’s impact on Benton Central athletics and the lives of his players is immeasurable. His dedication, leadership, and passion for the game continue to inspire generations of student-athletes.
