Matthew McKinnis has been named the Benton Central Cross Country Teammate of the Week due to his exceptional leadership, exceptional work ethic, and dedication to uplifting his cross country teammates. Matthew has been stepping up as a leader by constantly motivating his teammates to work hard, cheering them on during workouts, offering strategic advice, and ensuring that every athlete feels supported. Loralei Rayman is the Athlete of the week for girls Cross Country. Even with being sidelined due to an injury, she has continued to do all she can to be ready when she returns. She has a positive attitude and has been organizing the rest of the runners with team bonding and making sure everyone is included.
