For Immediate Release May 26th, 2026 The postseason is here for Benton Central Softball as the Lady Bison prepare to compete in the 2026 IHSAA Class 2A Sectional 37 Tournament at Delphi Community High School this week. Benton Central earned a semifinal-round bye and will open sectional play on Wednesday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Bison will face Seeger HS. The sectional features a strong field that includes Benton Central, Delphi, Seeger, Rensselaer Central, North Montgomery, Western Boone, and Rossville. Championship night is scheduled for Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. Fans planning to attend should note that gates will open 45 minutes prior to first pitch each day. Admission prices are $8 for a single-session ticket or $20 for an all-session pass. Tournament officials have announced that ample bleacher seating will be available, and spectators are also welcome to bring lawn chairs for seating along the foul line fences. Fans are encouraged to sit on the side of their team’s assigned dugout. Concessions will be available throughout the tournament and will include pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candy, and Coca-Cola products. Public parking will be available in the lots adjacent to the softball and football fields at Delphi Community High School. The Lady Bison enter sectional play looking to continue their successful season and make a deep postseason run. Benton Central fans are encouraged to make the trip to Delphi and support the Lady Bison during tournament week.
