WE DID IT! AYA MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL CORNERSTONE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS. One piece of "hardware" down, and one on the way. What a MASTERFUL COACHING JOB on display by both Head Coach V and Assistant Coach Shay. Y'all kept the girls calm and believing every minute that they could win! we were down 15-3 at the half and rallied all the way back to WIN 19-18. We are so proud of this talented group of young ladies for sticking together and beating Washington Parks in this Championship game and limiting them to only 2 points in the entire second half. Coach V and Coach Shay coached this game brilliantly with the strategy of a chess game of adapting, improvising, and overcoming! Our BIG 3 of Kyndall, Aubrie, and Makayla who had a MONSTER AND FEARLESS GAME scored the go ahead bucket stepped up huge in this game. Every LADY HAWK on the team also contributed with smothering defense and "scrappy" play that led to this victory. CONGRATULATIONS LADY HAWKS!
