At the School Board meeting Monday night, Whiting High School approved and introduced new Boys Basketball Head Coach, Geoff Dan. Coach Geoffrey Dan brings over 30 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, with stops at Wheeler, South Central, North Judson, Highland, and most recently Calumet College of St. Joseph. A career highlight came in 2010, when he helped guide Wheeler to a 2A State Championship alongside Coach Mike Jones. Beyond the sidelines, Coach Dan founded the Indiana Dawgz AAU program, which saw more than 500 players come through over 25 years. A proud Purdue graduate and lifelong Northwest Indiana resident, his greatest joy is his family—two adult children and two granddaughters. Now, he looks forward to his next coaching challenge with the same passion and dedication that has defined his career. Oiler Up!
