Friday night was a special one for Whiting Football, both on and off the field. The Oilers earned their first win of the season with an exciting 28–7 victory over Bishop Noll, playing with energy and determination from start to finish. The win also marked the first career victory for Head Coach Thomas Knight, a proud Whiting alum leading the program forward. In addition to the win, we had the privilege of celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the 2015 2A State Runner-Up team. Former players and coaches returned to Oiler Nation to be recognized, and it was an incredible moment to honor one of the most successful teams in school history. The night became even more historic as we officially renamed the stadium after legendary Head Coach Jeff Cain, whose impact on Whiting Football will continue to inspire future generations. With a big win, the honoring of Oiler tradition, and the current chapter beginning under Coach Knight, it was truly a night to remember for our football program and community. Go Oilers! Oiler Up!
