The Whiting Oilers Cross Country teams had another strong showing this past Saturday, with two student-athletes earning All-Conference recognition for their performances. Congratulations to Braulio Cachu of the boys cross country team and Victoria Pelayo of the girls cross country team, who were both named Second Team All-Conference following Saturday’s conference race. Both Braulio and Victoria represented Whiting with determination, competing against some of the top runners in the conference and putting together performances that earned them well-deserved recognition. Their accomplishments are a reflection not only of their individual efforts, but also of the commitment and hard work of their teammates and coaches throughout the season. Cross country is a team sport built on pushing one another, putting in the work day after day, and competing for something bigger than yourself. We are proud of Braulio, Victoria, and the entire Whiting Cross Country program for the way they have represented the Oilers this season. Their continued effort, sportsmanship, and dedication are exactly what we want to see from our student-athletes. Please join us in congratulating Braulio Cachu and Victoria Pelayo on being named Second Team All-Conference! Congratulations, Oilers! Keep putting in the work! Once an Oiler, Always an Oiler.
