Our boys and girls cross country teams battled through a tough, flooded course at the GSSC Conference Meet yesterday—and still managed to rise to the occasion! Both teams finished 3rd out of 8 teams, with many Oilers setting new personal records along the way. Congratulations to Victoria Pelayo, Braulio Cachu, and Charm McGee on earning All-Conference honors! A special shoutout to Charm, who battled through the conditions and set a new PR, and Victoria, who ran with incredible heart and finished with a well-deserved smile after improving her time by an amazing full minute! Victoria also had a quick turnaround cheering for the Oilers football team Friday night, and then into an early morning PR! We’re proud of the effort, toughness, and determination shown by all of our runners. Now it’s time to keep pushing as we gear up for Sectionals! Go Oilers!
